Packing Essentials

Make sure to pack all your essentials in clearly labeled "Unpack First" boxes or suitcases. This will help you not have to scrounge for your toothpaste the first night in your new home. Items that should go into these boxes include:

• Toiletries, including toothpaste, toothbrush, make-up, soap, face wash, toilet paper, etc.
• Comfortable clothing for your first few days in your new place.
• Cooking essentials, like plastic cups, plates, utensils, a cooking pot, etc.
• Snacks to keep everyone's strength up until the first grocery store trip.
• Any comfort items for pets, children — and even yourself. Make sure favorite stuffed animals, toys, gadgets are handy.
